There are more ways than ever to obtain a website these days but what’s the point if you are going to get lost in a sea of other sites? So, the question is, why do you need a Professional Web Designer to obtain a good search engine ranking?

Here are my thoughts:

1. There are estimated to be over 180 million websites on the internet…yes, I said 180 million. So your website could be just a drop in the bucket if you don’t know what you’re doing.

2. If possible, your site really should be designed from the ground up with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in mind. That’s not to say that SEO cannot be added to an existing site, but it would be much easier to start from scratch with SEO principles in place and you will see quicker results.

3. Great search engine ranking isn’t easily achieved and requires expert knowledge on the subject.

4. SEO is perpetual. You can’t optimize a site, employ an SEO strategy, and leave it. It takes time, and sometimes trial and error to achieve the desired results.

5. If you’re on a budget, your site can be designed with organic SEO in mind which won’t carry a monthly obligation. What is organic SEO? It carries several different meanings depending on who you ask. In short, organic means employing an SEO strategy that doesn’t rely on PPC (pay-per-click advertising).

Final thoughts:

Obtaining a good search engine ranking is a treacherous road to travel. You need someone to guide you along the way. Yes, SEO is an investment. But, it can give you an exponential return on your investment that’s hard to measure in numbers.
